The mission of The Street Dog Coalition is to offer free veterinary care, especially preventive services, to pets of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. By bringing street medicine and pop-up clinics directly to the community, The Street Dog Coalition is committed to caring for both pets and their owners, ensuring well-being on both ends of the leash.

With the help of Dover's Chair, The Decatur, IL Street Team can offer free veterinary care to people facing or at risk of homelessness in the greater Decatur area as well as provide support for their Street Clinics to provide vaccinations, parasite prevention, wellness exams, wound care, and vouchers for spay/neuter surgery at a partnering clinic.

Heidi's Kittens' mission is to give as many cats and kittens as possible a second chance. Heidi's Kittens has built a strong network with rescues, transporters, and fosters across Montana and beyond. While they help kittens and cats find homes throughout the region, Heidi is also committed to addressing local overpopulation issues. Heidi's Kittens supports fosters, collaborates with vet techs, and seeks veterinary advice for more complex cases. Their goal is to remain a small and flexible organization, willing to serve where most needed

With the help of Dover's Chair, Heidi's Kittens will now have a safety net for emergency vet care. They can take kittens and cats to the vet whenever they are in need, enabling them to treat conditions beyond the normal scope of routine preventive care.

From Heidi:

Friday morning, I got a call from a landlord who needed cats to be gone immediately.  We took in 33 cats.        I’m headed down today. Reports are of many outside that need to be caught. That’s our biggest intake            ever, and you can thank yourself, because without the grant we would not be in the financial position to          say yes at this time.

The Wings Programs Inc. provides assistance and equine welfare programs to both

horses and horse owners in need. Horses in their care receive rehabilitation for

physical and emotional problems and training as necessary to be able to transition

into a new permanent home. Some of their horses are sanctuary horses, meaning

they are not available for adoption for various reasons, including age or health.

These horses participate in Equine Assisted Programs, including Life Skills, Equine

Assisted Growth and Learning, and Veterans programs.

With the help of Dover's Chair, The Wings Programs can now expand their

sponsorship and fundraising efforts by establishing The Healthy Equine Fund.

This fund is dedicated to rescuing and maintaining the well-being of equines, with a

focus on customized nutrition, necessary medications, dental care, and hoof care.

Old Dog New Digs, In addition to finding loving homes for senior dogs and cats, ODND also focuses on helping senior pets remain with their current families. ODND recognizes that older animals may face unexpected health challenges and expenses, which can be overwhelming—especially for owners on a fixed income. Financial hardships can make it difficult to manage unforeseen veterinary costs, and Old Dog New Digs can help support these families during tough times.

With the help of Dover's Chair, Old Dog New Digs' Community Assistance Program can contribute even more financial aid directly to the approved applicant’s veterinarian to help pay for procedures, hospitalization, medication, veterinary follow-ups, and emergency animal services to realize the owner’s pet’s full recovery.
