Wyatt
Wyatt was found as a stray in Milwaukee after days of wandering, even slipping into a home to steal bacon before rescuers were finally able to trap him. Though scared, he was gentle, but the shelter environment overwhelmed him and he was scheduled for euthanasia. A rescue team stepped in, and once in foster care, his sweet nature immediately surfaced despite severe medical issues, including ear and skin infections and significant fur loss. His fear of strangers was intense, but a dedicated volunteer group—“Wyatt’s Hot Dog Ladies”—has been visiting weekly to help him learn to trust, and his progress under a behavioral vet has been remarkable. Recently, Wyatt was diagnosed with double CCL tears, leaving him in growing pain and urgently needing surgery. After everything he has survived, he still wants nothing more than love and safety.
